SC Global events
At the Supercomputing 2001 conference to be held in Denver Nov. 10-16 2001, the event called SC Global will be provided. SC Global is the first truly global technical conference on the Grid: a multi-national and multi-cultural meeting place for communication and discussion of ideas relating to high-end computing and communications and its impacts on science and society. The SC Global event will use Access Grid technology to link the SC Core at the Denver Convention Center with dozens of SC Constellation Sites.
On the ApGrid testbed, several Access Grid nodes have already been available in some countries. As one of the inaugural events of establishment of the ApGrid, we plan to hold a panel involving representatives from some participating nations in the ApGrid. The title of the panel is "Can the Asia Pacific Grid contribute to the Science and Technology in Asia Pacific region?". In this panel, Denver, Sydney VisLab, and AIST will be connected through the Access Grid.
